RULES UPDATE = SEASON 2012

U6 players may now wear moulded sole footy boots and jerseys.

No Player I.D. Cards will be required or I.D`s checked before games for U6 - U9 players.

In accordance to the Club Constitution the Annual General Meeting was held Monday 24th October at the Club rooms. The duely elected Committee for 2012 =

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

At the Clubs Annual Trophy / Presentation Day, Club President Brad Stranks announced the Clubs new affiliation agreement with the Redcliffe Dolphins Rugby League Club. " Following lengthy discussions with Redcliffe the Club can now offer a pathway to players to senior football as well as Player / Coaching Development programs which will complement the direction of the Crushers ". Benefits to all will be realised over the next 3 years affording a close bond between the 2 Clubs.Special guest, Redcliffe Development Manager Steve Peeples was delighted with the friendly and party atmosphere of Trophy day and reinforced the Dolphins commitment to the new patnership.

DOUBLE HEADER FOR CLUB

Despite some pretty ordinary weather the Crushers brought home more silverware for the Trophy Cabinet yesterday. The mighty U7`s took out the ALP Shield Western Conference with strong performances  both on and off the field and our U10`s in what was a dominant and undefeated display won the U10 Shane Webcke Shield.

Congtarulations to team officials, parents, spectators and of course the players as you have all done your club proud.

To the many club volunteers who gave up their time yesterday in the running of the Webcke Shield ( particularly those who braved the canteen ) THANK YOU, for once again making it a great day for the kids.

The planning for next year has already commenced and a dry day has been booked.

LOSS OF A GREAT BLOKE
It is with a very heavy heart that I must advise Club Members of the passing of Club stalwart and Life Member Mr. Duncan Waller.

Duncan was a grass roots founding member of the Club and his broad smile, enthusiasm and love of the game will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

WORKING BEE: a huge THANK YOU to those Club members who showed up on the day and lent a hand. All is now in readiness for Sign On Day = 06/02/2011.

Whilst the ground staff have been doing a great job in what are trying conditions there is a need to stage a working bee this Sunday 30^th Feb commencing at 6.30am. If we have plenty of people show up it should take no more than a couple of hours.

Workers are asked to come armed with rakes, the more sturdy plastic type would be better, we need a few people on whipper snippers, 2 or 3 trailers on which to load the clip and then dump ( on site ) and a few shovels to get it out of the trailers. If enough people show up we can probably have a few people engaged in a bit of a clean up etc of the club house / veranda and canteen.

UPDATE.

REFEREES: It goes without saying if we do not have Referees we can not play. Unfortunately several of our Club Referees for season 2011 will not be returning and the Club will have a great need to fill these vacancies. Members and Players interested are asked to contact Club Secretary, Chris Pilat urgently as training courses etc must be attended before they can start.

The Club House is in need of a little painting and would request any memebrs with contacts advise Club Secreatry, Chris Pilat.

As most who attended the 2010 Trophy Day would be aware the Club PA system blew up and the Club needs to replace same this season. If any member has a contact please forward details etc to Club Secreatry, Chris Pilat.

CLUB APPOINTED COACHES:

Club appointed Coaches Season 2011 are remided that they must attend the first Coaches Meeting Sunday 6th February, commencing at 5.00pm sharp in the Club House it`s paperwork time people.

LIMITED INTERCHANGE RULE - TRIAL

Members are advised of a trial to be conducted throughout season 2011, implemented by Q.R.L. and the G.B.J.R.L. - effects U13 up age groups only.
